a.       http://www.kidlink.org/KIDFORUM/Bills/Rights.html : a good springboard for discussion on rights mentioned in bill of rights and compare to these bill of rights for children;

b.      Show children’s bill of rights.  can divide class into pairs to investigate a few of them at a time, give a summary of them, why they think this was added to the list of rights, agree or disagree with the statements, and why.

c.       Culmination would be for students to explain which of these rights affects their daily life more.

d.      American Rev, bill of rights, Constitution units

e.      With these American bill of rights, is a Youth’s bill of rights necessary?  Why or why not?

f.        Compare then to bill of rights.  Which of these rights affects their daily life more?  With time, can guide students to detailing their own rights for students.  Could use the educational contract that helps students name the rights and responsibilities of students and teachers as a starting point.
